After this first months setting up and initiating the project with the first “Steering Committee” that was taken place in Granollers in January, H4DC has already started the first activities that will help to gather valuable information and knowledge to help designing the athletes’ supporting service.
The first activity was held in Partille (Sweden) at the IK Sävehof facilities where an Amsterdam University of Applied Science representative could understand and know about the club’s handball academy formed by more than 90 teams from younger of 9 to 19 years old and its 16 school handball academies for boys and girls of 7 and 8 years old.

For this same objective, Stephan Hakkers from AUSA has moved this week to Granollers to work and interview some statements of the Club Balonmano Granollers (talents, coaches, board of directors members, parents and educative and private sector representatives in order to know better their reality and opinion about the Dual Career issue and which difficulties they find combining sports and educational careers and look for a job.

To complement this work that will be done, Club Balonmano Granollers organizes the first awareness session about Dual Careers in Granollers where it will be explained in more detail the “Handball 4 Dual Careers” project and will have the collaboration of Albert Busquets, Club Natació Banyoles managers and coordinator of the Erasmus+ project “Innovative Clubs for Dual Careers” along with a presentation of the importance of developing Dual Careers programs by Stephan Hakkers. This awareness session will take place this coming Thursday March 23th at Hotel Granollers from 19:15h, open to all public.
